Fibermate & Sodium Ascorbate: 15-Day Challenge

Finally found time to write again! ♡ I’ve been really busy juggling work and events, but nothing beats this blog, this safe space. There’s a different level of accomplishment when you get to do something that you’re passionate about, right?

Anyway, I can really say that I’ve been insanely occupied because these months went by so quickly — never realized we’re already on the second half of 2019 til I jotted down my June plans the other day. I’m pretty sure you guys are busy, too! Given our unending list of to-do’s, we better make sure to be on the lookout for our health and wellbeing.

FIBERMATE

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’m a big foodie. Eating is my way of releasing stress, like that “I deserve this meal” kind of reward after a long day. Fibermate helped in making me feel guiltless and in maintaining my weight, especially that I don’t have time to hit the gym. I think I even lost a few pounds just by drinking it daily.

First time to hear about Fibermate? It’s a supplement by RiteMED that contains Psyllium Fiber, aiding weight loss. TMI but still sharing - it really helped in my constipation. It would take me days to "release." With that, I can attest to Fibermate’s effectivity because it helped in regulating my bowel movement. Without it, I’m back to being uncomfortable and bloated. Really good for food digestion and detox.

Very very easy to prepare - I just mix it in my glass of ice-cold water, drink it before meals. Much like an orange juice, but sugar-free!

Fibermate is available in Shopee through the RiteMED Clickhealth Store. They have a special 1+1 promo until supplies last, so make sure to order as soon as you can!

SODIUM ASCORBATE

Of course, I have several days that I feel overworked and exhausted — which leads to looking haggard or getting sick. Big no no! However, when I started taking in Sodium Ascorbate, I had that certain glow and I noticed I don’t get sick that easily.

Apparently, Sodium Ascorbate’s focus is collagen production and glutathione absorption — which explains where that “glow” is coming from. It also helps strengthen the immune system. Oh, and it's a non-acidic Vitamin C!

So I took both for 15 days. Honestly, at first, I didn’t really expect anything because a lot of brands promise too much and underdeliver. But with Fibermate and Sodium Ascorbate, there were noticeable changes just a few days after religiously drinking - most especially in terms of immunity and bowel movement!

On those days, I felt lighter, healthier, and glowing despite my tiresome days. I felt more poised to face my countless work- and blog-related meetings, all thanks to power dressing and the confidence from my daily dose of Fibermate and Sodium Ascorbate.

It makes me happy that I finally found supplements that really work. These days, it’s so hard to look for a trusted and reliable brand. High risks, high costs! And you know me, I only recommend brands that I really use - so I won’t let you down with skincare and healthcare stuff!

Which reminds me… I need to restock soon!

RiteMED Sodium Ascorbate is only Php4.50/capsule, available in all major drugstores nationwide. RiteMED Fibermate is Php622.00/30 sachets, currently available at Shopee with a special Buy 1 Take 1 promo!

Siesta Beach Retreat, La Union

La Union will always be my safe space. I've been here for several times already and I won't ever get tired of this place. It's more than just a surf town for me - LU gives me healing and serenity every single visit. I was actually here two months ago - all alone, at my lowest point, but just seeing the waves before me calmed my heart. Fast forward to the first Monday of February, I'm back again but in a happier state.

Spontaneous and impulsive - my best friends and I drove to La Union for a quick beach break. We stayed at Siesta Beach Retreat, a beach-front haven inside Urbiz Garden (beside Flotsam & Jetsam). Whenever I feel the need to unwind, I prefer staying at this side of La Union - still at San Juan but quite a long walk from the main restaurants and other resorts.

This newly-opened home has Bamboo Treehouse fan rooms, with the view of the ocean as soon as you step out.

Yna and I stayed at the Twin Bed Room (Php2,000.00). It includes two (2) beds, fluffy pillows, fleece blankets (my favorite!), towels, and a kulambo!

I'm really picky when it comes to beds, so I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of beds Siesta Beach Retreat has. Slept like a baby, my friends had a hard time waking me up. Lol

There are also nice hooks where you can hang your swimwear/clothes!

King had the Full Bed Room (Php2,000.00) and I think 2 people can share in here. Same inclusions, but with a king-sized bed.

Siesta Beach Retreat also has a Solo Room (Php1,000.00) and Tent Pitching (Php600.00/guest). Best part? Booking here includes 1 free yoga pass per person and access to their pool!

To be honest, their rates are insanely affordable, given that you have a lovely beach front spot.

Clean shower and toilet rooms ❤

Siesta Beach Retreat also has this common patio exclusive for guests. Super cozy!

You can also opt to chill here and stare at the ocean.

Yoga area! I heard they have Vinsaya sessions every Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. You can also book a private class, just leave a message at @duyanyoga on Instagram or contact 0915 513 8333.

DUYAN under the tree, y'all! How can you not fall in love with Siesta Beach Retreat?

To make a reservation, just slide into Siesta Beach Retreat's Instagram DM or message them on Facebook. Pro tip: they prioritize these over phone calls! ;)

Another nice thing about Siesta is that they can arrange a trip to Tangadan Falls and other tourist spots in La Union, too! We didn't avail of this since we really just wanted to swim and lounge, but definitely going back next time to try those side trips out!

Swim break!

Elyu staples! El Union and Sabong Fried Chicken ❤ We also had our dose of grilled food for dinner at Beach Bumbeque (inside Beach Bum Food Park).

LU has one of the best sunset views. Imagine this while your favorite playlist's on full blast, and you hear the waves crashing... grabe ❤

We spent the rest of the night drinking wine, eating chips, and playing Nintendo Switch. Simple moments like this make my heart flutter.

MY FAVORITE! Makai Bowls! I'm in love with their Amianan (dragon fruit smoothie bowl) but it wasn't available that time, so I got Beach Break instead. SOLID PA RIN!

Haaay, my constants! With these two, I know I'll never be alone. Really lucky to have best friends like them.

I love you, Aleenski and Kingking!

Thank you, Siesta Beach Retreat, for such an amazing experience! Certainly coming back!

Y'all better book with them as soon as you can!

Fisher Mall Quezon Avenue | Anniversary Sale

North girl forever! I think I'm really lucky because our house is conveniently located near malls and hangout spots in Quezon City. Happy we're only 5 to 10 minutes away from Fisher Mall Quezon Avenue, because they definitely drop the lowest deals in every mall-wide sale!

I'm always here to do grocery shopping, but I haven't really been to the whole mall. Glad I got to tour around Fisher Mall with my blog sisters yesterday to see what they've got for shoppers for their anniversary sale.

Department Store

Enjoy your retail therapy for up to 80% OFF here! Aside from the basics, you'll also spot a lot of stylish pieces especially from Fisher Mall's own fashion brands.

My favorite's their shoe section! In all fairness, District (their home brand for shoes and bags) has a lot of great and trendy designs - Aisa and I were really tempted to get all that we can.

Best part - they're all super affordable!

Tops, dresses, and jumpsuits in all prints and patterns! Perfect for summer ❤

Sunnies for only Php299.75?! Wow!

Home and Furniture

Grabe, even their Masflex pots and pans seem cheaper here!

Fisher Supermarket

My folks are crazy about Fisher Mall's grocery price drops! They offer a lot of bundles and buy 1 take 1 deals, whether for local or imported goods!

Another reason why I love this supermarket is that they have really fresh seafood, meat, and produce!

Paluto Area is where you choose your catch, kind of cooking method, sauces, add ons, and have them served to you in a nice dining area inside the grocery.

Fisher Mall is more than a shopping destination. It's also an entertainment and lifestyle hub.

Fisher Box Office

Their movie house features a 1920s inspired lobby, five state-of-the-art high definition digital cinemas, and a top-notch VIP Cinema equipped with lazy boy chairs.

Unlimited popcorn + lazy boy chairs + blankets = SOLID!

They also have a pod for kids (or kids at heart) inside the VIP Cinema!

Zoltar

In case you didn't know, only two (2) Zoltar booths are available in the Philippines. I heard you even need to get a license before acquiring this! Fisher Mall has one, and we tried it out! For only Php20.00 (4 new Php5 coins), you can have your fortunes predicted by Zoltar.

Sneaker Arcade outside Pumped Up Kicks

Playland

Another stop that we enjoyed: carousel and arcade games!

Fitness Center

Chapel

Dining

Aside from the restaurants around the mall, they also have an artsy and spacious food court.
